Summertime is wedding season!

If you are wedding planning, don’t forget to be tax ready with a “Newlyweds Tax Checklist”.

The checklist can be found on the IRS website HERE (Newlyweds tax checklist | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov)) and includes several important reminders as well as useful links and forms.

Did you know you need to report any 名称的改变 to the Social 安全 Administration? The name on a person’s tax return must match what’s on file at the SSA.  If it doesn’t it could delay a tax refund.

Another thing to consider is updating tax withholding 与雇主. If both of you are working, you may move to a higher tax bracket or be affected by the additional Medicare tax. The checklist has additional information that may be helpful, so check it out.
